July 23, 2011 was the 10th anniversary of CAFE (CarpeDiem).  JHJ sent his best wishes and a bonsai as present.

On the evening of April 22, CarpeDiem (Korea and Japan) sent the following meals and snacks (photos are self-explanatory) to the “49 Days” cast and crew while they were filming on location.  We can only marvel at their dedication and consideration – they take such good care of our JHJ (to the extent that even the other actors are impressed.)  Note the special boxes not just for Han Kang/Gang (JHJ) but also for Ji-Hyun (NGR), Min Ho (BSB), etc.

On April 16 EVER (Korea and Japan) sent more supplies to JHJ and the “49 Days” crew — fruit cup, rice cake, Japanese snacks (16 kinds),pudding, Starbucks coffee, and energy drink — 60 portions in 10 boxes.

They were originally going to prepare lunch to send to Jinan, but at the last minute found out shooting had been changed to Seoul Palipaket, so that’s where they went.

In the morning they washed the fruit, bagged the Japanese snacks, added rice cake, energy drink, and Starbucks coffee to each portion, and were ready to go.

So as not to interfere with shooting, they put the stuff in a corner of Palapaket.  The staff seemed to be used to this already, so they just took the boxes in.

For JHJ’s portion they prepared more fruit and more variety, and also included ginseng and Starbucks stored value card.

They also prepared special portions for LYW and BKL (the actress who plays NGR’s friend See Yu – the one who works in Paris Baguette.)

Because of the rise in last week’s rating, the atmosphere on set was very lively and energetic.

As for 100% pure male JHJ (their words), even if he is shooting day and night, he is still very happy.  So handsome! So totally immersed in the drama!  Very grateful!

When the EVER members brought the foodstuffs to the “49 Days” set, they could not see JHJ because he was busy shooting, so they waited in a coffee shop.  And when JHJ came out to thank them, he could not see them.  So they missed each other!

Following photos show the gifts CarpeDiem (CAFE) sent to the “49 Days” crew recently, all beautiful gift-wrapped.  They include almond raspberrry pie, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, brownies, chocolate cake, cereal bars, and cookies with 49Days logo as well as JHJ’s initials.  So much sweet stuff!  Everybody needs the calories in the hectic shooting to meet the broadcast deadline.

They didn’t specify but the white boxes must contain something special for JHJ, probably the usual ginseng.  JHJ needs these to sustain him if he were filming almost non-stop.  But as he says in the AUDI interview, he feels happy now just working, even if it is continuous filming for 30 hours.

On March 20 EVER (Korea and Japan) sent the following to the production team filming “49 Days” — rye baguette sandwich, assorted fruit cups, mandarin oranges, vitamin drinks, bottled water, cookies, Pringles, as well as dinner bento (lunchbox) — 68 portions packed in 17 boxes.  There were something special for JHJ, LYW, BSB …. and of course the usual ginseng for JHJ.

For their efforts they received the following THANK YOU message from Star N Hit (English translation by wulijohyunjae):

Thank you so much for the delicious snacks ~

Leaving this message during filming, this way gives an on-set feeling ~

So grateful for your supplies not just for JHJ but also for us.

JHJ was shooting “49 Days” on Feb.19, and some EVER members visited him on set and brought him (and the film crew) plenty of goodies:

1.  EVER prepared 75 sets of snacks (in bags), plus a special set for JHJ

2.  Fresh sandwiches and salad (airlifted that morning)

3.  Fresh fruit (strawberries, grapes, pineapples) prepared that morning

4.  Starbucks coffee (in bottles)

5.  Evian mineral water

6.  Forks, napkins, wet tissue

7.  16 different kinds of Japanese biscuits and crisps

8.  Also whole boxes of oranges, glutinous rice cakes, donuts, Japanese cookies and coffee

Because drama shooting changes location all the time and schedule is very tight, we have to be very careful so as not to affect their progress.  We have to make sure that in supporting our actor, we do not become hindrances, so we proceeded in a very discreet way.
