This is still only the first week of 2011, so here is a comprehensive video of 2010 in the life and career of JHJ (made by his Japanese fans at CAFE.) Enjoy!

Someone says Jo Hyun-Jae is handsomest in “3 Dads/1 Mom”. The more we see of Han Soo-Hyun, the more we tend to agree.
We’d better watch as many of these videos as we can while we can. Many are already blocked because of recent rigorous enforcement of copyright laws.

(Please see our August 22 post “JHJ’s favourite midnight pastime” under category: JHJ magazine, JHJ video.)
Here is a longer video of JHJ talking about how he likes to pass a fall night – listening to music. He’s in bed – with his music albums. Gives you wild thoughts!
Videos are identical – 1st is YOUTUBE, 2nd is PHOTOBUCKET. Enjoy!
What JHJ says in the video:
1. What is today’s concept? It is music for lovers.
2. How do I feel about a photo shoot after such a long time?
I feel very well, but a little not at ease.

The September issue of the Korean magazine IN STYLE interviews some Korean artists and asks them what their favourite midnight pastime is. Our Jo Hyun-Jae says he likes to listen to music, and he is holding one of his favourite alhums – Diana Ross and Lionel Ritchie’s “Endless Love”.

The man who plays soft music.
Jo Hyunjae
An episode on an autumn night.
“You have to be in bed by 10 pm in the army without an exception. I think my body is still following the biorhythm of the military days (laugh). Before enlistment, I used to stay up all night filming and spending time making bets on who would pay for a late-night snack. Looking back, I remember myself immersed in acting the most in an autumn night with a fresh breeze.”
Things that give zest to the dead of night.
“It’s calm, light music. When I can’t sleep, I mostly listen to piano or cello. As you listen to the music, you don’t hear any noise around you, and there remain only you in a small space and midnight. After that, before you know it, you are already asleep. Right before I fall asleep, as I can hear that the music getting quieter and quieter, I become the happiest, being fully aware of succumbing to sleep. Is there anyone out there who will listen to the music with me (laugh)?”
The best 3 albums recommended by Jo Hyunjae.
“A soft piano melody will relax you in a late night. If you listen to it with your girlfriend drinking a glass of slightly bitter wine, wouldn’t that be the icing on the cake?”
“It is needless to say that jazz goes well with an autumn night. The rich tone of jazz forms a perfect ensemble.”
“It is the soundtrack for a jazz movie Round Midnight . It is appealing because it makes the saxophone sound magnificient.”

Not a new video, but new to this blog. So, enjoy!
And if you have nothing better to do on Sunday, how about watching another MV of SDY?

We all know Jo Hyun-Jae loves dogs, whether they are his own pet or his army partner.
The two photos below show JHJ’s pet spaniel Ssing-yi (Ah Sing) in the backyard, taken by its master a few years ago.
