What/whom is JHJ looking for?

The other day Japanese fans came to visit. They brought with them a Japanese interpreter. We basically communicate between the two of us — from Korean to Chinese, from Chinese to Japanese, from Japanese to Chinese, and from Chinese to Korean — roundabout way. 08:26

Beijing autumn. I’ve always felt there are only 2 seasons – summer and winter. Can’t feel Spring and Autumn – if it’s not short sleeves, then it’s down jacket. Today our production team is working in this forest full of autumn flavour – good environment, fresh air, but no toilets. Other production units are filming nearby, people everywhere, like a market – going to toilet is a problem. 14:05

JHJ in PPTV interview

C – Commentator J – JHJ
C: Korean star JHJ is currently in Shanxi filming “Rouge Overlord” in which he and Yang Zi play a pair of lovers. Here he is in an exclusive interview with PPTV.
J: Hi! Hope you’ll all pay attention to RO. Everybody is working very hard. I feel RO will turn out to be a fine work. And this drama has special meaning for me. Please give us your support. Thank you!
C: JHJ is shooting in China for the first time. At first he needed some adjustment because of the cultural differences and especially the food. He was not accustomed to these in the beginning but he found a certain novelty in them.
J: Although there are cultural differences, shooting is essentially very similar to the basics in Korean production. To be specific, Korean actors always bring their own staff, but in China everything is group activity and everyone shares staff. The biggest difference is the food. In China I can’t have native Korean food, so I’m not quite adjusted yet. Daily life in the production team is very meaningful. This is the first time I’m in China, so there is this novel feeling. Although we cannot communicate through language, during shooting we can understand each other’s meaning. Another thing: in Korea you cannot behave like friends with older actors, but in China there is no disparity in age and rank and everyone gets along very well.
C: JHJ’s counterpart in RO is Yang Zi. The two play a pair of lovers and there are many emotional scenes between them. At first JHJ was a little worried but after working with her he is full of praise of Yang Zi.
J: At first I thought Yang Zi is so young and there is a gap in our ages, so I was worried whether she could carry off the emotional scenes. These were the questions in my mind. But after cooperating with her, I discover she is a seasoned pro, skilled in acting, and she makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. Apart from her considerable acting skills, in daily life she is a happy person and brings joy to everyone around. She is very sincere to people. I think Yang Zi is very remarkable — during shooting she has to fall into the cold water and be in the longest night scenes, but I’ve never seen her pull a long face or throw tantrums but is always smiling.
C: In RO JHJ has several kungfu scenes. He listens very carefully to the martial arts instructor and looks really good when he is performing.
J: I’ve been in action dramas before, costume dramas, and also ridden a horse and used weapons. But this is China, so each action must look Chinese. I trained hard with a martial arts instructor.
C: JHJ looks forward to the Chinese market. He is very honoured to be in a Chinese production and hopes RO will be very popular in China.
J: This is a good opportunity for me. As an Asian actor to be recognized in another Asian country is an honour. I hope in future to be able to participate in other good Chinese projects.

Yesterday there was a rumour circulating that Hollywood was in negotiations to buy the rights to remake “49 Days” and Justin Timberlake would play Han Kang. (from http://star.ohmystarnews.com) But when contacted SHS said it was the first they had heard of this. So it’s up to you whether you believe this. We’re just reporting when we’ve heard.
