wuliJHJ and our Translator, thank you for working so hard to translate the 2 articles to English so we can understand what JHJ is saying. wuliJHJ, please enjoy your trip with your friend; you deserve the rest, you have been working so hard ever since JHJ’s involvement with 49D was announced in January.

my comments about the interview:
- i didn’t realize that thru 49D JHJ gained fans aged from 10-20. I thought the age range would be 20-upwards, but 10 years old! so cute! And JHJ’s reaction (“I feel like a idol star late-starter.”) is even cuter!!!

- JHJ’s Andrea in LL will always be my favorite JHJ character. Despite the popularity of HK, Andrea will always be 1st place in my heart. And this is surprising because I don’t normally like tearfests like LL, but Andrea is just too beautiful for words. If JHJ bags a role that is as conflicted as Andrea then I will be one happy JHJ fan (I just hope the writing will be better!) even if I will end up crying my heart out.

- “And then I want to take on the musical. A musical seems very interesting and attractive.” – I like the idea of JHJ doing a musical. I may not be able to watch him in it, but it will be great training for him. I am all for it! I hope he can fulfill this dream/plan. JHJ is really thinking seriously of his future in the acting business!!

- “As a young actor, I felt a little embarrassed to present a Lifetime Achievement Award.” – JHJ is humble as always. I was actually surprised to learn that the award he (and NGR) presented is the Lifetime AA, it is such a prestigious award (in any film/TV award ceremony) that even just presenting it carries with it a certain prestige. Presenting the LAA is normally reserved for actors who are more senior (in age, # of years in the industry, and achievement) than JHJ and NGR. The fact that they were chosen to present the LAA is a testament to the impact their 49D characters have made on the viewing public. At least for this I have to be thankful for 49 Days.

- I am so happy with the changes in JHJ, but I am also glad that at heart the JHJ we love is still there – humble, sincere, humurous in a self-deprecating manner, and still doesn’t like computers!!!555

thanks for the hard work wulijhj, i also find the chinese translation a bit strange as jhj is not really the kind very into love-dovey scenes… somemore to the extend of looking for such scenes in next drama…

Jelly, many thanks for your concern! I’d like to relax too but can’t. Going on a short trip tomorrow (promised a good friend that if she could travel while undergoing cancer treatment, we’d go on a trip together to a national park.) Have to prepare 3 days’ posts because not sure if there’s internet access. You won’t believe how long it took me to translate those 2 interviews (even with the help of our translator.) Have to make sure everything is accurate, so check and re-check. Recently upgraded system, everything going awry. Computer acting up, spacing all wrong….My back is breaking, but JHJ in his interviews gives me strength (to quote his favourite phrase 555!)

wulijhj, i came across chinese translation of the news, they translate “melo” into love scenes (爱情戏）, not sure if they are guessing too or not…
