Lingering regret over “49 Days” finale – Even re-runs arouse a lot of attention

Many viewers are already demanding re-run of the “happy ending” of “49 Days”.

The drama’s run is over, but many viewers have expressed their disappointment and regret.  On May 22, after the broadcast of Episodes 19 and 20, viewers’ concern became greater than before.

Re-run of the drama is imminent, and in all the main portal sites [in Korea], the hottest search topic is “49 Days re-run”.  This has caused concern in the upper levels [ED: of SBS, presumably.]

Netizens left comments like: “What a pity!” “However I think of it, JH’s death is heartbreaking.” “Start shooting 49 Days 2!”, “I feel so lost”, etc.

Episode 20 is about SJH’s death and the secret of SYK’s birth.

On the final day’s broadcast the 49days traveller JH finally manages to collect 3 100% pure teardrops and wakes up from her coma, but 6 days later she dies as it is her destiny.

When she learns from the Scheduler that she will soon die, JH makes preparations for her family and then she goes on a one-day date with HK before her death.

HK sees the photo album that JH’s mother is browsing and discovers YK is actually JH’s long-lost sister.  In the end JH’s parents lost JH but get back YK, so their pain is lessened.

The last drop of tear is revealed to be from IJ who is sorry for her actions.  This allows JH is return to life.

“49 Days” is followed by “City Hunter” which will start on may 25.
