Nam Gyu-Ri is currently starring in SBS’s hot new drama “49 Days” as Shin Ji-Hyun.  Because of the requirements of the plot, she has been wearing the same dress before the cameras, the dress that she is wearing when she meets with the traffic accident.  The weather is not yet warm, so NGR is always fighting the cold in her flimsy pink dress.

But from Episode 5 onwards, thanks to the scriptwriter, NGR finally gets to change her clothes.  The drama depicts the simple and naive SJH (NGR) becoming more and more depressed after discovering her fiance’s conspiracy with her best friend.  So in order to cheer her up, the Scheduler takes her shopping in a department store and allows her to pick and choose to her heart’s content. 

In mid-March at a certain department store, NGR held a mini fashion show, parading in a series of clothes in rainbow colours.  Decked out in all these latest fashions, NGR was in such a good mood when she was shooting these scenes.

Afterwards NGR said: “In this drama I not only experienced wearing the same dress for weeks but also trying out many different outfits all at one go.  I really have to work harder at my role.” 

“49 Days” has progressed to the point where NGR, on discovering the treachery of her fiance and best friend, is thinking of ways to solve the problem.

Statistics released by ratings agency indicate that Episode 5 of “49 Days” broadcast on March 30 had a nationwide rating of 10.1%, a drop of 0.2% from the previous episode last week.  Even though it manages to retain double digits, it is still ranked last of the Wed./Thu. dramas in the same time slot.

Ratings for MBC’s “Royal Family” is 14% and for KBS’s “Thorn Birds” is 10.5% for the same night.

The March 30 episode of “49 Days” shows Min-Ho (BSB) plotting to sell Ji-Hyun’s (NGR) land in order to pursue his ambitions.  When she discovers this conspiracy, JH (in Yi-Kyung’s body) manages to retrieve her seal from her room.

Min-Ho makes up a story to tell Ji-Hyun’s father that when JH found out she gave MH her lipstick instead of her seal, she was on her way to give him the real thing when she met with the accident.   MH insists everything he does is for JH.  His series of lies betray his ambition.

Baffled by certain things that Yi-Hyung and Han Kang said, Min-Ho comes to HK’s office and sees YK again.

YK comes and goes like a friend, which confuses HK because she keeps reminding him of JH.  MH is also rattled and getting suspicious.  Then HK sees YK coming out of MH’s car and fires her in anger and throws her out…..

이경을 지나치게 신경 쓰는 민호에게 여자로서 끌리는거 아니냐고 물었던 강의 말에 혼란스런 얼굴로 강의 사무실을 나오던 민호는 이경과 마주치는데. 뭐라도 아는척 자신을 쳐다보지 말라며 화를 내버린다.
마치 편한 친구처럼 다가오는 이경에게 강은 자꾸만 지현이 떠올라 혼란스럽고, 민호의 흔들리는 마음 또한 의심한다. 급기야 이경이 민호의 차에서 함께 나오는 모습을 본 강은 크게 화를 내며 이경을 해고해 버리는데…

In Episode 5 of the SBS drama, JHJ takes off his clothes to take a shower. 

“49 Days” production team released above photos on the SBS official website at 11:45 a.m. on March 30 under this heading: “Press your heart!  Deep breath!”

In the photos JHJ is taking a shower in the steamy shower booth.  Through the glass you can see JHJ’s muscular torso. 

These words accompany the photos on official site: “Wow!  In Episode 5 of ’49 Days’ these surprising scenes of JHJ in the shower will appear.  We worry you may have a heart attack watching them on live broadcast, so we’re giving you a sneak preview here.  Good things are worth sharing.”

Netizens’ reactions are most enthusiastic.  Sample remarks: “Makes women’s hearts pulsate violently!”  “At the request of JHJ fan clubs, scriptwriter JHK finally assents and adds these Han Kang shower scenes.”  “So grateful to scriptwriter!”  “Dropping bombs of this kind is welcome anytime.”

On a different note, according to AGB Nielsen, last episode’s rating is nationwide 10.3%.
