‘Round Midnight
wulijohyunjae | September 8, 2010 | 7:00 amMiles Davis’ “Round About Midnight” is one of the albums Jo Hyun-Jae recommended for an autumn night in the September issue of IN STYLE magazine. (Please see our August 22 post “JHJ’s favourite midnight pastime” and August 27 post “Midnight IN STYLE” under Category: JHJ magazine.)

“Round About Midnight” is an album by jazz musician Miles Davis, originally released by Columbia Records in March 1957 and re-released in 2001 (digitally remastered.) The album took its name from the Thelonious Monk song “‘Round Midnight”.
“Round About Midnight” is widely recognized by jazz critics as a landmark album in hard bop and one of the greatest jazz albums of all time. The quintet comprises of Miles Davis (trumpet), John Coltrane (saxophone), Red Garland (piano), Philly Joe Jones (drums), and Paul Chambers (bass.)
The following MV shows JHJ against the background music of “Round About Midnight”. He says: “Jazz goes well with an autumn night.” So JHJ likes jazz! Cool!

Cool!!!
Btw, seems the strike against the 3 Korean TV networks is over. KBS, SBS and MBC have reached compromise agreements with the Union, with MBC holding out longer than the other 2. Hopefully, we’ll hear good news from JHJ’s group soon about his comeback drama project.
very nice pics… such soothing music…
prissymom, from what we have read, the MBC strike is nowhere near over. The over 2 billion KRW in unpaid wages is still unresolved. And MBC is talking about cancelling other non-drama programmes, which leads to a lot of criticism. “Dong Yi” is the only drama still in production, and it is the only drama with a respectable 20+% rating. Just when it is about to end, 10 episodes have been added – to much displeasure from many quarters. “Naughty Kiss” has only 3.2% rating, and netizens are calling for its cancellation. MBC is in dire trouble, and we earnestly hope JHJ won’t sign with MBC.
