Jo Hyun Jae

How about listening to Jo Hyun-Jae singing one of the songs on his CD – “Words you said to me”?  I listen to him sing every day, and every time I ask myself why doesn’t he record more CDs.

I remember in 2009 when I was in Seoul, I asked a Korean fan to teach me how to write in Korean: “You are a very good singer.”   She said: “Oh, no!  You cannot write that.  JHJ is an actor, not a singer.  You have to write: ’You sing very well.’” 

Is a singer’s status lower than an actor’s in Korea?  You cannot be both an actor and a singer?  There are plenty of such in other parts of the world.  Cultural differences again.

I still think JHJ is a very good singer.  And he is of course my favourite actor in the whole world!
