This is Jo Hyun-Jae’s voice (as recorded at Japan fan meeting.) No photography or videotaping or recording allowed, but …….

(If the first one doesn’t work well, try the second – they are identical.)

Recording not very clear and edited (different parts pasted together), so this is the best our interpreter can do. (Our greatest appreciation!) We’ve reported on most of the contents before. Recording is 9 minutes, so you really have to love JHJ’s voice to listen to something (most of) you don’t understand!

1. Opening greeting – “I’ve so wanted to see you all again in these two years. I’m so grateful to you all for coming to this fan meeting.”

2. His military uniform (the one that was brought on stage) – “ In the next 2 – 3 years there will be ‘Reserve military personnell training’, and we have to wear our military uniform again, so I have to take this back to Korea with me.”

3. His army dogs – “I’ve always loved dogs. I’ve had a dog since I was very young. After these two years of my army dog soldier duties, I’m confident I can train any kind of dogs.”

4. Daily life in the army – “Disciplined and busy life – from getting up at 6 a.m. to sleep time, everything has been programmed. If you don’t obey, you’re breaking the law. The three meals a day are very simple, hardly any meat. My favourite dish is fried pork with chili sauce. The best time is sleep – only 4 to 4 1/2 hours. During free time I usually go to the gym to relieve stress by working out. Even though I’m very happy during free time and receiving calls from outside, I’m happiest when I receive food and gifts from fans which I share gratefully with my army mates. The disciplined life in the army has made me healthier. During my military service I feel very strongly how my fans love and cherish me. That’s why I want to see you all as soon as possible and to thank you all directly.”

Better than nothing, right? JHJ fans are so easily satisfied! From the laughter elicited, it is obvious our JHJ has become more entertaining.
