D-day — Welcome back, JHJ!
wulijohyunjae | June 19, 2010 | 6:59 am

Today is the BIG day — Jo Hyun-Jae will be discharged from the Korean military where he served nearly two years as a regular soldier.
Photo below shows what it was like on August 5, 2008 when fans bade farewell to JHJ on his enlistment.

We were there in 2008. What will it be like today? We’re on site right now, and we’ll tell you all about it as soon as possible.
We have been invited by EVER to present a bouquet to JHJ and to have a banner hung on the wall outside the camp. They have very kindly arranged for everything, so all we have to do is choose the bouquet and design the banner. The former is easily taken care of — we hope you like our choice.

Now the welcome banner is a different story altogether. We don’t have an artistic bone in our body, so we sent a SOS to our most loyal JHJ fan and supporter prissymom who heroically rose to the occasion. At extremely short notice (one day, to be exact), she came up with the design below which we absolutely adore!
Her concept is right on! The background is in yellow which is the colour that the soldiers’ families wear when they are away and when they welcome the soldiers back. The map of the world symbolises JHJ’s international fans. And the flags are of their respective countries – everyone who has left comments on our blog or e-mailed us and who has indicated their country has been represented here. See your flag?
We hope JHJ will be pleased to know he has so many fans from so many different countries. The words on the banner are the same words we put on the card of the bouquet.

Banner slightly amended by EVER for technical reasons — we wish to thank them for helping us make this banner to specifications and hang it up for us outside the camp. They have really gone beyond the call of duty to make everything so much easier for JHJ’s foreign fans. Their efforts at making JHJ’s discharge a memorable and joyous occasion is much appeciated.

how exciting! have fun and i’ll be waiting for more details
Thanks to EVER for including us international fans in all their activities for JHJ.
WuliJHJ, I am looking forward to your pictures, and of course, your stories!
bleuelle, wuliJHJ will have to address your concern. I am sure they are very busy right now so it might take some time before they can answer you.
Beautiful Bouquet and Great Banner for overseas fans. Thanks a lot WuliJHJ and Prissymom please upload about the ending Army Service for fans who can not join with you and him every steps and words of him please please. I am very happy to watch him on WuliJHJ.com, JHJ.com and You Tube today. Happy happy and waiting.
Too bad I can’t be there, but my heart and my spirit are definitely there with you! Thanks WuliJHJ for representing the hundreds of other JHJ fans and to Prissymom for the great banner! I’ll be sticking around for the latest news and updates. Enjoy!=)
Hey! I saw his latest photos from http://www.pingbook.com. I am waiting for WuliJHJ but in pingbook I did not see Wuli & Prissymom bouquet & banner. I pingbook just show 4 photos.
bleuelle, sorry for the late reply. We were preoccupied in the last few days, as you’ll understand. We did not include flag of Brunei because we did not know there are JHJ fans from Brunei. You have to tell us where you are from! In fact, we also left out Myanmar (apologies to mandalaywith.) Everything was very rushed. We were lucky to even get our banner completed in time, thanks to EVER.
I hope JHJ noticed that there are his fan from my country, Malaysia…Thanks Wuli JHJ for placing our flag in the banner too..
WuliJHJ, it’s ok – no hard feeling ^_^ . I was just letting you know that there is a die-hard fan here in small Brunei too. Thanks so much for posting so many of his beautiful photos. I wish I was still in Seoul when he was discharge so that I can witness this event first hand and meet with you guys too.
Btw, I was bemoaning the fact that my working trip to Seoul did not coincide with his discharge date to fellow Koreans and was affronted that they did not know who JHJ is! I mentioned Three Dads One Mom, First Love, Only You, Seo Dong Yo, Shining Days, 9-Tailed Fox/Forbidden Love, GP 506 and still got blank faces! I consoled myself, it’s ok – I wouldn’t have to share him with so many fans then.
bleuelle, now we know! And we’re very glad for JHJ that he has a diehard fan in Brunei. You didn’t stay for his discharge? What a pity! Hope you could feel the magic of the day from our posts. For some strange reason JHJ is not as well-known in Korea as in other Asian countries (just too, too many Korean actors), but he is in the first-ranks. I like your spirit: “I consoled myself, it’s OK – I wouldn’t have to share him with so many fans then.” We’ll cherish him among ourselves.
