Talking about Rain, I just went to his concert in Hong Kong last Saturday. This was supposed to be his last Asia tour before his enlistment. During the whole evening, Rain used all the tricks to charm his fans such as winking at them and putting on innocent smiles. The climax of the night was when Rain tore off his top and showed his muscles. This caused the audience to scream for 2 minutes. I was not impressed by his singing at all but his dancing was magnificent. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening. Well, I should not complain at all since my ticket was free (original price HK$870).

A very difficult choice to make: big bucks/exposure to international audience versus an actor's artistic principles. I hope that if ever JHJ will face the same choice at some point in his career, he will not be blinded by the glitter of Hollywood and will stand by his artistic principles.

As for IRIS 2, if JHJ lands the role that LBH will vacate, I hope that there will be less gun-toting/gun banging and more hand-to-hand fights (sword fights are even better!!!) because JHJ just looks so good in those martial arts/sword fight scenes. It is really ironic that Americans are incorporating more of these martial arts action sequences in their movies/shows, while Asians are putting in more gun fights in their movies.

prissymom, and yet Lee Byung-Hyun chooses to forfeit the chance to star in "Iris 2" so he can continue with his role as a minor player in "G.I Joe 2". Strange thing is: actors who make it to Hollywood (pls note I wrote "to" and not "in") are regarded with awe in their own country. None of the Hong Kong actors who go west ever makes a decent film, but they earn big bucks in US$. One man's loss is always another's gain -- we pray JHJ will get the lead role vacated by LBH. In fact, we just wrote Mr. Lee and urged him to try his best to secure this for JHJ. We even asked the EVER Master to convey this message (in case Mr. Lee doesn't understand my English.) We don't know what Korean etiquette is like, and we don't want to appear aggressive or intrusive, so we asked EVER to tell Mr. Lee this suggestion is from JHJ's caring overseas fans who are all rooting for him.

I wouldn't want to see JHJ in a Hollywood movie that will not show his face, that will not use his voice, and will treat him just as a killing machine.

That is so sweet of your brother wulijohyunjae to remind you of your other son "JHJ". For so many of JHJ fans who rely so much on this blog for JHJ news and information, I would like to extend my gratitude to him as well for initiating this blog and likewise with all of your hardwork and commitment. It looks like June 19th, 2010 is really a big day next year. This blog is truly a blessing to all of JHJ fans.
