“G.P.506″ press conference

Just look at Jo Hyun-Jae for 20 minutes. (Or watch both videos at the same time, if you don’t understand Korean.) It will make your day!
I just discovered a requirement for being a movie star (from watching these videos) — you have to be able to NOT BLINK when flashlights go off before your eyes every other second! Just the reflection of the flashes hurts my eyes. I marvel how JHJ could sit there looking so cool.
If your goal is to make us smile, congratulations! you succeeded!!! WuliJHJ, he does blink, but not as frequently as the flashes from the cameras, and he blinks beautifully!!!

Watching these 2 videos makes me think that JHJ has found a place inside himself where a part of him can retreat on occasions like this. He is totally aware of what’s going on around him (because he reacts/responds correctly) but he has the ability to take a part of himself away from the madding crowd (reporters, photographers and screaming fans!!!) enabling him to appear unfazed, collected and composed in such a situation.

These videos also remind me of something that happened during the 3D1M days. A few weeks before the drama aired in Korea, a forum was started for the drama. Old pictures (meaning not from the 3D1M drama) of JHJ, JH, SSR and Eugene were posted in the forum. Some visitors to the site commented that JHJ is not photogenic (yeah, the nerve of those who posted those comments when the actor they are rooting for is ……!!!!), but JHJ fans (being nice and polite people for the most part) did not retaliate with words, instead they posted more pictures of JHJ and the 3 other actors to show how ridiculous those “not photogenic” comments were. When the 3D1M official photos came out, “standoffish” was added to “not photogenic” to describe JHJ. Again, JHJ fans kept their cool and just posted more pictures of JHJ in retaliation. It was the funniest and coolest war between fans I’ve ever witnessed, and all because of the wry sense of humor of the JHJ fans. The negative comments on JHJ’s looks stopped when JHJ, JH, SSR and Eugene came out on Korean TV to promote the drama. Of course, hours later a video of that TV promotion was posted in the forum. I don’t know if you’ve seen that TV promotion, but in that show Eugene and Jae Hee did most of the talking, SSR talked also but not as much as Eugene and JH. JHJ talked also but for the most part he just kept quiet and smiled (just being his usual self!!!). Hours after the video was posted in the forum, comments started coming in, and they were peppered with “JHJ is soooooooo handsome!!!! OMG, JHJ is soooooooooo handsome!!!!” But the most satisfying comment came from a Jae Hee fan, one of those who kept commenting that JHJ is “not photogenic”. She (I assume it’s a she) said that she’s taking back all her previous comments about JHJ not being photogenic. She said that as soon as the 4 actors appeared on screen her eyes were automatically drawn to JHJ and stayed glued on him until the video ended. Even when the other actors started talking she couldn’t take her eyes off JHJ to check who’s talking because “OMG, JHJ is sooooooooooo handsome!!!!” LOL

Sorry for the long post, wuliJHJ. I just couldn’t resist sharing that story after watching the videos you posted because OMG, JHJ is soooooooooo handsome!!!!! Thank you for making me smile today!!!!

prissymom, I’ve seen that 3/1 promotion video you’re referring to. “Comparison is cruel” is all I can say. “Empty vessels……………”, you know what I mean.
