Yes, prissymom, there were many complaints on the Official JHJ Fan Club website that JHJ only left messages on CAFE and EVER but not on the official website on his last leave. The personal letter that JHJ wrote to the Official Fan Club members in September (our post of 2009.9.10) was to appease them. Yes, some fans are so demanding (“unreasonable” is a more appropriate term since these members are all either members of CAFE or EVER and they have already read the message.) We feel very unhappy that JHJ is beholden to them, but he needs their support (unless there are more of us than them.)

WuliJHJ, you handled a delicate issue with your usual sensitivity. When I read your initial post, my first reaction was to worry about JHJ’s privacy. I felt concerned that his private affairs being discussed publicly would add to his worries about his father. I was going to comment on that initially, but I realized that you are always careful when it comes to JHJ’s privacy. I know that you would not post this info in your blog unless it’s already widely reported in Korea. So now I know that my assumption is not wrong, you held off sharing this info, I salute you for that. As to how this news came out, I am 100% sure that JHJ has nothing to do with it. He will never use his family problems to generate publicity, and if there are people who say/think otherwise, then they do not know JHJ. But I do hope that his management agency has nothing to do with the leak (????), acting without his knowledge.

Are there really JHJ fans who complain when he didn’t leave a message during his leave? How demanding! But now that we know what’s really going on in his life, I hope we’ll be more sensitive with our demands and be more considerate when we don’t hear from him regularly.

I offer this prayer to Mr. Jo Sr. and his family (I have been saying this prayer myself for a family member for quite sometime now).

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. O dearest Comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our sick under Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant the father of Jo Hyun Jae to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that whatsoever You do, You do for the love of us. Amen.
