I agree with you, wulijohyunjae. Star N Hit management has all the right reasons to obtain such role for JHJ.

Marise, if such a role is available in "Iris 2" (all speculation at the moment), and if Mr. Lee is worth his salt, he should be scrambling to secure it for JHJ. I am sure the managers of other actors (especially those who will be getting out of the army in 2010) will be doing the same. If Mr. Lee has to wait for JHJ fans to suggest this to him, he should be looking for a new job.

I would love to see JHJ join the cast of "Iris 2" as it would enhance and intensify this highly anticipated big budgeted drama but still falls short of expectation as I read in one article. Wulijohyunjae, is it possible to write Star N Hit again and suggest this proposition? It's good to try though as we may never know where would it lead. By joining the cast of "Iris 2" it would be an adequate move for JHJ to grasp the entertainment world again after a two year hiatus and after this drama tackle a lead role of his own. If JHJ joins the cast it will be a wise move to his stellar career yet slow but unstoppable thereafter. It may not be a lead role but JHJ on screen charisma will surely magnify the storyline of "Iris". On the other hand, I have full confidence in JHJ's acting ability and he can absolutely without a tinge of doubt can deliver and execute a convincing portrayal regardless of what kind of character he renders.

prissymom, Lee Byung-Hyun in "Iris" is hardly the perfect hero; he always plays flawed characters (and he's good at that.) There is already talk of a sequel for "Iris" in the second half of 2010. How perfect it would be if JHJ could join the cast of "Iris 2"! Both good actors, but different, JHJ and LBH can act as foils to one another.

I don't watch IRIS, but from the comments I've read in other forums, LBH's role in Iris comes across as the perfect spy/hero. Am I right? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Well, I don't see JHJ as the perfect spy, I see him as some sort of a reluctant hero/spy. He'll start out as an intellectual (or an honors graduate as he aptly described himself in one of his interviews), then he will be put in a situation where he will be required to take action (take up arms or something) that will change people's perception of him as just an ordinary intellectual. An academician who can also be mean when the situation calls for it (and that is not so illogical because all South Korean males have military training). I suggest you read Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan novels. Jack Ryan is a more believable hero - highly principled, loves his family and country so much, uncompromising when it comes to his principles, very honest, can always be counted to do what is right even if it is not the most popular thing to do, experiences fears and doubts, but always comes through in the end. I see JHJ portraying a very human hero and not some sort of killing machine for his government. But I also wish that JHJ's comeback project is a great one.

Marise, we wish JHJ will be given the "Iris" treatment in his comeback drama next year! That would indeed be perfect!

I wonder if JHJ would have been a better choice to cast as one of the elite agent Sa-woo opposite Lee Byung Heon if not as the lead character Hyeong-jun (LBH)? This kind of drama is a perfect vehicle for JHJ's comeback. Both JHJ and Kim Tae Hee looks good onscreen. I like the way Hyun Jae giggles when he realizes that the scene is no good at all.

JHJ got kicked a lot in this drama! No wonder he hurt his ribs here, that guy who kicked him is so much bigger than JHJ and the boots the guy was wearing looks heavy! The other NGs were funny though, esp. the cellphone scene.
