Last Song Syndrome
wulijohyunjae | October 1, 2009 | 7:00 amWe are playing this song at the request of prissymom who is suffering from LSS.
According to www.urbandictionary.com, the “last song syndrome” (referred to by teens as “LSS”) is “to listen to music before going out of the house, and having the last song you hear before leaving stick in your head all through your journey, and beyond. Usually accompanied by subconscious humming.”
That is actually a very loose explanation of LSS because it could apply not only to a song you heard before leaving the house, but also to a song you heard at any time during the day at home, in your car, in the bus, in the mall, at the park, etc. Whatever that song is, you end up singing and/or humming it for hours, days, weeks, months on end. And if you have a bad case of LSS for a song, you end up hearing it in your head even while you are asleep! Well, for quite sometime now prissymom has been having a bad case of LSS for “Now is Goodbye”, the song sung by our Jo Hyun Jae in Episode 14 of “3Dads/1Mom” during the campfire scene.
Don’t you just love the slight raspiness in JHJ’s voice in this song?
